A Calmer Space…

Mindful Movement can improve fitness, flexibility and give you the knowledge to use your body well

With her Mindful Movement classes, somatic therapist, ballet, yoga and contemporary movement professional Suzanne Astley AISTD, Dip Arts, BA Hons, QTS, MA, can enhance wellbeing and strength.

Having worked at the highest level with the Royal Academy of Dance, London, Suzanne has established her unique skillset in the heart of the Ribble Valley and has recently extended her classes to a studio at The Sidings in Whalley where she runs somatic movement classes, barre and core sessions and rehab movement therapy.

Located in Victory House, the home of Whalley Physiotherapy, Mindful Movement helps clients move in a better way, improving posture, alignment and core stability.

Suzanne, whose expertise has helped rehabilitate people with serious injury, back and hip pain and musculoskeletal problems, leads clients through classes with controlled breathing and movement, promoting relaxation and rejuvenation: “Mindful movement helps calm the nervous system to take you out of fight or flight mode into a much calmer space.”

To find out more about Suzanne’s one-to-one sessions, women’s health workshops and movement classes, go to the Mindful Movement website. No experience is necessary.
