A Cut Above The Rest
A fabulous new hair salon in Longton opened its doors to the public in February and is getting rave reviews and huge support from the local community
L Francesca is the first salon for blossoming business-woman Lydia Pennington. “I have been looking for the prefect location to open my own salon for a while. When this unit, in the heart of Longton, became available it just made sense that I would go back to the village that I know so well.”
Lydia is from the Longton area and has been a hairdresser for the past 10 years, gaining vast experience as a trainee for Headlines as well as going on to become a master colourist for Schwarzkopf.
Lydia has transformed the ground floor unit off Liverpool Road into a luxurious hair salon with a bespoke interior where anyone would want to go to feel relaxed and pampered.
Lydia said: “I’ve always wanted my own beautiful salon where people enjoyed going. It should still feel like a treat having your hair done and it’s my job to make you feel like a million dollars.”
The salon offers the full range of hair treatments with Lydia offering the full Goldwell Colour range. She works with the Olaplex range which can be maximised with the home treatments which are stocked at the salon.
Lydia said: “My purpose is to make the people of Longton and surrounding area have beautiful hair that they are proud of. Whether you want the latest cut or colour or just fancy a blow dry before a night out then I can help. I also specialise in prom and wedding hair and I’m offering pamper parties for your little princesses.”
The salon will also be offering make-up, so you can create your whole look at one place. Lydia also has a bespoke hair accessory business called Primrose Rox. Products are stocked in the salon and can create the finishing touch to your look.
Lydia added: “I had an opening night on 4th February to thank all the people who had transformed my salon. These included JSN painters, Blooms by Michelle for the beautiful flower walls and JSJ joinery who designed and built my bespoke desk. Adam Bennett of Baluga Bar created the delicious canapes my guests enjoyed.”
Lydia is keen to be part of the thriving Longton business community and will be having another open night soon where you can meet the stylist and view her beautiful salon.
