Husband and wife team Ben and Lorraine Armstrong established Burning Desire back in 1996. Since then, regular family additions have been made to the business. First on board was Craig (Ben’s son), then Brad (Ben and Lorraine’s son) and just recently, Neil (Ben’s son).
Speaking of joining the family firm, ex-teacher Neil Armstrong comments: “Some people are wary and reluctant to join their family business as personal and commercial lines can be difficult to draw and segregate. But I believe that blood is thicker than water and the mutual respect we have for each other is definitely echoed in our combined approach to customer service. Burning Desire is a great business and, whilst I have brought my own organisational and interpersonal skills to the table, I am also learning purchase, stock and sales processes. If you Google me, I was the first to walk on the moon – but that counts for nothing here as I am the last Armstrong to join Burning Desire!”
