A SCENTSATIONAL JOURNEY!

Melt, the fragrance experts, have handpicked some delightful scents just for you

Have you ever wondered why good scents trigger good memories? Scents get routed through your olfactory bulb, which is the smell-analysing region in your brain. It’s closely connected to your amygdala and hippocampus brain regions that process memories and emotions.

In 2000 Melt utilised this to create an aroma empire in the heart of the Ribble Valley. The Valley sat back and watched as Melt moved from their garage to their current premises at Backridge Farm. With a little help from a local farmer, they are now surrounded with an abundance of rural life. The perfect inspiration for the work that takes place within the walls of the barn.

Working hard to source materials locally (with over 94 per cent of ingredients and packaging coming from Lancashire companies) Melt takes pride in supporting local business in the process of producing their unique perfume combinations.

Impressively supplying to independent retailers on a global scale, Melt maintain their humble presence on the farm quietly filling the world with their beautiful fragrances.

Melt and diversity coexist in perfect harmony. The Chandlers portray a vast array of personalities, stages of life and interests however they all have one thing in common and that is a passion for creating art in wax form!

But wait, there’s more. They don’t stop at creating unique candles, their luxury gift shop on the farm will have you mesmerised further. In order to create a calm, sophisticated shopping experience for all those that venture onto their premises – alongside their own range of candles, home fragrance and skincare, you will also find a perfumery, stunning cashmere, organic skincare and make-up and gorgeous jewellery. With this range of luxury items to browse you will be busy all afternoon! A day out in the Ribble Valley will never be the same once you discover the treasures that Melt has to offer alongside the fantastic places to eat and drink.

A message from Melt: “We now quietly supply the ‘Melt’ brand into independent retailers worldwide, as well as producing branded corporate gifts for a select group of clients. You can purchase through an exclusive group of stockists, on-line, or by visiting our ‘shop on the farm’ in the heart of the beautiful Ribble Valley where you are guaranteed to be greeted with a warm smile and wine, which is as chilled as the atmosphere.” Melt x
