A Whole New World…

Get ready to embark on a spellbinding journey as award winning Ella Shaw’s Academy of Arts proudly presents Aladdin Jr

The hugely successful Ella Shaw’s Academy of Arts is expanding, taking singing, dancing and drama into local high schools and launching new classes for Early Years children.

The Academy is also currently working on its exciting new production Aladdin Jr which is set to take audiences on a magical adventure that features a host of spectacular special effects: “We have been working with top magicians and technical engineers so it’s going to be a fantastic show,” says Ella.

The show’s director Kathryn Maye-Cavaleri adds: “We’re thrilled to bring this iconic story to life with a fresh, vibrant energy.”

With a cast of close to 30, the production, which is sponsored by business consultancy Jessica & Morton Ltd, features unforgettable performances, breathtaking magic and show-stopping musical numbers including ‘A Whole New World’, ‘Friend Like Me’ and ‘Prince Ali’.

“It’s a very exciting time for us as it’s our first Disney production,” says Ella, who has been named as a finalist in the Ribble Valley Business Awards in the ‘Health and Wellbeing’ category.

“The Academy has grown year on year and I think that’s because young people love the fact that performing arts enhances wellbeing and confidence.”

The Academy has recently formed a partnership with Ribblesdale School in Clitheroe, delivering a six-week performing arts initiative to enhance the school’s enrichment programme that builds on students’ creativity and life skills.

Ella Shaw’s Academy of Arts continues to stay very much in demand with waiting lists for most classes and Ella says she is determined for the Clitheroe-based Academy to continue as a place where young people feel safe but are encouraged to be the best version of themselves.
