ALPINE FUN

An alpine style open air dining terrace overlooking the ski slopes, a continental bistro, new ski-hire and boot room and a line-up of exciting events has put Rossendale’s UK-renowned ski slope at the peak of regional attractions.

Re-branded as The Hill – Home of Ski Rossendale, an investment of more than £670,000 has created a unique visitor experience with new activities being introduced including tubing, an air soft target range and later this summer, adventure snow racers.

This exciting new development is the final phase of a two-year long programme that has seen a new 60m beginners and improvers slope with travellator uplift and a state-of-the-art Snowflex sprung surface.

The Hill’s alive with activity, whether it’s challenging yourself by skiing or snowboarding or feeling the rush of the wind as you tube down the slope. With friendly, experienced coaches, the Hill is a safe environment for beginners and experts.

Relax in the brand-new Alpine café, bar, bistro which overlooks the slopes, giving it a warm and cosy atmosphere with its quality coffee and alpine specials such as pizza, goulash, pasta and not forgetting the signature ‘Hill Burger’.

With the piece de resistance – a rooftop terrace with stunning views. Have a night to remember with exclusive wines from mountain resorts in Italy, Bulgaria, Andorra, Austria and Spain whilst watching the sun set over the rolling hills.

“We are absolutely delighted with the new development and have created a unique attraction,” explains David Fuller, head of business development at The Hill.

“It’s fun for those taking part in activities and it’s an experience for those who want to relax while watching.”

“We have been lucky to find a wine merchant who is supplying wines not generally available,” says David. “They are classic wines that will really complement the food.”

“We want people to come here to experience something they can’t get elsewhere. It is a friendly environment where adults, kids and teenagers can be active and have lots of fun outdoors, and family and friends can have a great time watching thanks to the bistro and terrace. It’s all about energising people and letting them enjoy themselves.”
