An Exclusive Experience

Visit the exciting, new-look Scruples 1984 store to discover a stunning collection of iconic menswear brands

The latest spring and summer collections are arriving at exclusive menswear store Scruples 1984, which features an extensive range of world-leading brands.

Located in the heart of Barrowford, Scruples 1984 has become the go-to store for top quality menswear and just along the high street is Michelle B, a store renowned for its exclusive womenswear – making this delightful Lancashire village a first-class retail destination.

Having undergone a complete refurbishment, Scruples 1984 was founded by Stephen Collins who remains at the helm, and is joined by his son-in-law, store manager Tom Orrell, who is ultimately knowledgeable about each of the luxury in-store brands: “The spring and summer collections have a really upbeat vibe,” says Tom.

“We’re going to see more events like weddings and the races coming up so there will be something to suit every occasion.

“Cream, beige, camel and pale blue predominate this season as well as the classics such as navy and some new ‘pop’ colours too.

“We have also invested in bigger collections with our renowned brands and some new exciting ones.”

With a shared ethos to provide unrivalled customer service and a great in-store experience, Stephen and Tom are delighted to introduce Mackage, a French-Canadian brand specialising in duck down outerwear: “The calibre of this season’s collection is superb!” enthuses Tom.

“The jackets and gilets are fashionable, purposeful, lightweight and sleek. Mackage have also brought out a velvet embroidered unisex hoodie – they come in some fabulous colours.”

As the best-selling agent in the UK for Italian denim brand Tramarossa, Scruples 1984 has a beautiful collection of super-stretch, soft-touch jeans in varying styles – but each with the option of personalising with your initials. Variations in colour, denim density and fit made this brand the hottest denim brand in store for AW21, and a wider collection is available for SS22.

Parajumpers is also a favourite at Scruples 1984, which has invested in an expanded collection of this adventure-centric brand. Scruples have introduced PJs to their store, which has created a whole new style available to customers for SS22. Rupert Totti remains a brand exclusive to Scruples featuring beautiful Italian craftsmanship – from formal made-to-measure to more casual spring over-shirts this name sits comfortably alongside fashion giants such as Pal Zileri, ETON shirts, British heritage brand Belstaff, Swedish shirt-specialist Stenstroms, Jacob Cohen and Emanuel Berg – another new brand.

The SS22 shoe collections have also arrived including an extensive range of Jeffery West trainers in leather and suede: “These are great as they can make a formal outfit casual and a casual outfit more formal – they are so versatile,” says Tom.

Scruples 1984 will soon launch a new website which will allow collections to be viewed online. Tom and the team will also keep you up to date on new brands, offers and events on social media.
