Having founded her hugely successful kitchen company almost two years ago it is easy to see why Katie Green has forged a reputation as the ‘go-to’ designer of beautiful, yet practical living spaces.
Katie’s exceptional eye for detail and a smart understanding of complex projects is now well established and the work she has undertaken has resulted in clients recommending her for her efficiency and highly effective responsiveness.
With a hands-on approach, Katie gets to know her clients and their lifestyle, designing and installing a kitchen of their dreams. This was demonstrated recently when Heart of Your Home Kitchens created a kitchen for a homeowner with limited mobility – installing cabinetry and appliances that were all easily accessible. The end result was a stunning cooking and dining area that enabled the client to revisit her love and enjoyment of cooking. As Katie explains: “I really enjoy finding innovative solutions and this particular project was extremely rewarding.”
Clients only ever deal with Katie, who explains the various options available to them and helps them to make choices. Katie has even been known to take clients to her Durham suppliers, where they can view a stunning collection of kitchen displays, helping them visualise what can be achieved.
Her beautiful showroom in Waddington reflects Katie’s style that seamlessly blends traditional painted cabinetry with state-of-the-art appliances and contemporary design.
With her attention to detail, Katie is also innovative in her ideas and clients have been impressed with her ability to work around quirky features. For a cottage in Sawley she installed cabinets that were smaller in height to accommodate the low ceilings. At a farmhouse in Waddington she created a larder unit to overcome an awkward under-stairs space, while at a country home in Balderstone she created a delightful matching painted seating area in a small alcove.
Katie who personally manages every installation, keeps in constant touch with her clients whether that’s meeting them personally on-site, telephoning, texting or e-mailing so they are always kept updated.
With a unique approach to kitchen design, Katie’s ethos at Heart of Your Home Kitchens is ‘Personalised, Quality, Design and Installation’. Passionate about delivering her aims, Katie welcomes all potential customers to her studio for an initial consultation. She follows this up with a home visit to discuss their exact requirements and then puts together a design package back in the studio where clients can view their dream kitchen on a state-of-the-art CAD system.
Heart of Your Home Kitchen’s hand-picked team of fitters and craftsmen will install the kitchen and throughout Katie will be there to oversee the project.
