In these days of high street chains and online retail, it’s rare to discover somewhere completely different, where unexpected delights mingle with service that’s second to none. Yet, that’s exactly what you’ll find at Revente, a luxury resale dress shop in Lytham.
Owned and run by Pat Haslam, Revente is a treasure trove of beautiful things. There’s a strong focus on mother of the bride or groom, but also an eclectic range of clothing for daywear and nights out.
“Everything here is of outstanding quality,” says Pat. “My customers expect the very best, so I’m extremely particular about the items I take for resale.”
Pat’s eye for detail certainly manifests itself in the quality of occasion-wear on show. Her mother of the bride or groom range invariably includes outfits by Veni Infantino, John Charles, Condici, Irresistible, Zeila and Linier Raffaelli.
And the customer service offered is of a similar high calibre. “We offer an extremely personal service,” says Pat. “We’ll take the very best care of you, from your hat right down to your shoes and handbag.”
You don’t have to be attending a special occasion, though, to benefit from Pat’s warm and honest advice. Alongside her wedding range, is a stunning collection of super-stylish everyday fashion from sought-after labels including Michael Kors, Marc Cain, Riani, D.Exterior, La Fiorentina and Paul Smith.
You can complete your outfit with a Gucci, Missoni or Chanel bag, and maybe add some beautiful shoes from the likes of Hermes, Prada or the famous red soles of Christian Louboutin.
What’s so refreshingly different about Revente is that, as a resale shop, it’s not limited to particular collections or styles. The dresses, skirts, tops, jackets and coats on display here come from a diverse range of designers. The one thing they have in common is that they’re exceptional quality.
“Truly beautiful clothes shouldn’t be worn once and then confined to a wardrobe,” says Pat. “If you’ve splashed out on a luxury garment, that still looks brand new, then bring it in for resale. Believe me, one of my discerning customers will be delighted that you did!”
A quick browse at the rails confirms that many objects of desire have indeed met Pat’s exacting standards. There aren’t many places where you can find Jimmy Choo, Mulberry and Valentino all under one roof.
“The joy of this shop is that you never know what you’re going to find,” says Pat with her trademark smile. “How can you? Even I don’t know which things of beauty are going to come through the door next!”
