Are You Ready For Summer?

Longridge Gallery’s summer collection brings together three contrasting views of the season

Leigh Lambert has become one of the most collectible artists of the last two years. His nostalgic depictions of Northern industrial life resonate with all ages and recall a time when communities shared experiences and memories. Lambert is an accomplished artist across a range of media, most commonly working in oils on board. His use of colour is minimal, optimistically applying splashes only to the figures that play amidst the otherwise monochromatic landscapes.

Andrei Protsouk is a Ukrainian artist now based in Pennsylvania, USA. Protsouk’s elaborate pieces burst with vibrant colours, intricate shapes and varied textures. His understanding of the human form, draws comparisons to the figurative works of Michaelangelo.

Ed Waite is renowned for his vivid 3D cityscapes, painting iconic landmarks from cities around the world including Paris, New York, and of course, London. Each work perfectly captures the bright lights and constant rush of urban life, thanks to his bold, colour-filled technique. His new work embraces the vibrancy of his colourist approach and applies it to that most summertime of pursuits, sailing – you can almost feel the sea spray as you view it!

A collection to suit all tastes and pockets, call into the gallery or check the website to see them all.
