Bathed In Beauty

Stunning bathrooms, with a contemporary and luxurious feel, were top of the wish-list for HD Design as it remodelled a Penwortham property.
Luckily, the team knew who could help achieve their vision. “Preston Plumbing not only has a large selection of styles to choose from, but offers bespoke advice as well,” says Paul and Phil from HD Design.
Armed with floor plans and room sizes they visited the Manchester Road showrooms and sat down with manager Paul Ross to design the three bathrooms and cloakroom to complement this stylish house.
“It was a great collaboration,” they all agree. Starting on the ground floor, Preston Plumbing Supplies has made a style statement with the cloakroom. In keeping with the home’s sophisticated colour scheme of grey and white, a crisp white sink and sanitary ware have been incorporated, with sleek grey storage and a vanity unit. Subtle finishing touches include a motion-sensitive illuminated mirror, and a moveable, capacious, cube-type cupboard.
Upstairs the large L-shaped family bathroom combines comfort with the wow factor. A curved shower unit in the corner makes a feature of the space, together with a very thick, heavy, deep bath.
First thoughts were to install a modish curved bath, but Paul Ross suggested something with more lasting appeal. Made by Cleargreen at Bathroom Brands it suits the space, as its length is in proportion with the run of storage units opposite and their soft-close doors.
The master bedroom benefits from a substantial ensuite bathroom. Here Paul sourced an oyster colour option for the storage units (made in Britain by Mereway like all throughout the house) to match the off-white radiator with integral towel bar by Bisque.
Praising Preston Plumbing Supplies for advising a brilliant radiator, the HD Design team adds that the shower, which has the dual option of either an overhead deluge or handheld spray was another inspired suggestion.
This is a great home for entertaining, and overnight guests can relax in their own double bedroom with ensuite bathroom. The well-appointed facility includes a Crosswater shower with an in-fold door. This space-saving idea also means that water stays inside the shower.
All the bathrooms were installed by John at John Dewhurst Plumbing and Heating. John also praises the product choice and expertise offered by Preston Plumbing Supplies. “They go the extra mile for customers,” he says.
Back at Preston Plumbing Supplies Paul is delighted to have seen another project move from planning and design stage to fruition.
