Glamour abounds at newly-launched Dressed Boutique – the vision of 19-year-old Eddison Emam, who has travelled the world competing, and winning, international beauty pageants.
Ribble Valley based, this boutique is unique in terms of the international labels that can be seen adorning the rails as well as Eddison’s extensive experience on the pageant circuit.
Dressed Boutique is the only UK stockist of exclusive American brand Ashley Lauren prom dresses and occasion wear, other brands include Australia’s Portia and Scarlett along with UK-based Angel Forever and Kiss Me Kate – a celebrity favourite!
Dressed also features Lavish Alice – a label known for its shorter party and wedding guest dresses.
Buying all year round, Eddison bought much of Dressed Boutique’s current collection in Atlanta, as she explains: “I’ve always sourced my own dresses from the US, shipping them in for competitions, so I have lots of experience.
“I think I have a lot to offer in this business. Young girls think they have got to look a certain way and often lack confidence. I can offer head to toe advice to build their confidence and choose the right dress for them.
“They often come here with a specific style of dress in mind – but if they try on a selection, they often change their mind.”
With a collection to suit all budgets and occasions, Eddison can place specific orders or girls can select directly off the rails. Dressed Boutique has an in-house seamstress so all gowns fit perfectly and the boutique has a unique ‘Prom Promise’ – if you buy your dress from Dressed Boutique they will not sell the same dress to anyone in your school, even in a different size or colour.
Eddison is also planning a series of exclusive evenings for specific schools within the area: “We are hoping to start off with Westholme Wednesdays and take it from there and there will be an opportunity to win a prom dress on social media.”
Always keeping ahead of current trends, the Dressed collection is extensive: “Midnight blue is very popular at the moment along with lots of sequins and sparkle,” says Eddison, who has raised thousands of pounds for Derian House through competing in international beauty pageants.
