BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS
Marking five successful years, Picture House is inviting artists and art lovers to the gallery for a birthday celebration
This October sees Picture House Gallery in Padiham celebrating its fifth anniversary. Over this time, the gallery has gained a reputation for supporting emerging artists from Lancashire and Greater Manchester with one of the best displays of original artwork in the area.
Many of the region’s fine artists have chosen to showcase their work at the gallery and enjoy a close working relationship with Heather, the owner who has known them all personally for many years.
The work of this group of painters is becoming more and more sought after with collectors worldwide. Gallery artists include Michael Ashcroft, Steve Capper, Richard Clare, Kate Collins, Chris Cyprus, Malcolm Fryer, Richard Green, Rob Hefferan, Louise Jannetta, Ceris Jones, Norman Long, Carl Longmate, Anthony Marn, Chris McLoughlin, Ian Norris, John Parker, Simon Plum, Steve Rostron, Ryder and Peter Stanaway, providing a huge variety of different styles of work.
Picture House is also one of the only places in the country to stock a good selection of work by the late Don McKinlay. Thought of as one of the best painters to come out of Liverpool, Don’s work is becoming more and more collectable and he is a real favourite with the gallery owners and artists who recognise his remarkable talent.
Heather and her team also provide bespoke framing for many of the gallery artists and have built up a wonderful customer base for retail framing. With over 30 years of framing experience they are ideally placed to offer expert advice on framing virtually anything and have a huge amount of choice of framing, mounts and speciality glass. If you’ve fallen out of love with your pictures, why not look at having them re framed to give them a new lease of life? Or dig out those treasured memories and put them on display.
The gallery will be hosting a ‘birthday bash’ on Saturday 6th October from 12 noon to 3pm. Many artists will be in attendance so come along and say hello – all welcome
