Chorley set to become digital hub
Chorley is set to become the centre of the rapidly growing digital sector in Lancashire thanks to an ambitious £8.4m scheme being developed by Chorley Council. A new advanced digital office park creating 54,000sq ft of state-of-the-art office space providing high value jobs for hundreds of people is to be built at Euxton Lane. The council won over £4.1m funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) towards the cost of scheme.

Largest UK Ninja course comes to Preston
The largest Ninja Course in the UK is coming to Preston in time for Easter. Ninja Adventure in Preston is a thrilling new £0.5m attraction which combines fitness, fun and ninja skills.
The exciting 20,000 sq ft attraction, which is creating 20 jobs, located off Mercer Street, contains two adult courses which are the largest in the UK, along with two courses aimed at younger children and a high ropes course to take your ninja skills to the air.

A cut above the rest
A new barber shop has opened in Penworthan. The Prestige Barbershop has taken on a new premises in Priory Lane and says it is offering luxury gentleman’s barbering, grooming and shaving.
It will be run by Ian Haydock who has more than 30 years’ experience in the industry. The barber shop will create an experience unlike any other locally.

Booths employees raise £12,000 for charity
David Kearney and his colleagues from Booths Supermarkets in Preston have raised £12,000 for The Christie, a charity that provides enhanced services that go above and beyond NHS funds for cancer patients and their families.
David was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2016 and received his treatment at The Christie, including a gruelling 18 weeks of chemotherapy.
He carried on working while receiving treatment and his fundraising efforts have earned him ‘fundraiser of the month’ for the charity.

Lancashire’s successful business exhibition
More than 2,500 professionals attended the Lancashire Business Expo at the Preston Guild Hall providing a unique platform for organisations throughout the region’s thriving business community to network, promote their business and of course generate new business.
Amongst the exhibitors were Lucky 6 Marketing and Gainsborough Flooring, which had a display completely made out of carpet, comprising its showcase piece, a church of carpet, a unique carpet landscape sitting upon red carpet, as part of the Red Carpet Zone.
