Celebrating Forever

With The Perfect Venue

Like all good love stories, Victoria and Craig Del Greco’s started with a beautiful friendship and progressed quickly to the latest chapter – their dream autumnal wedding at Barton Manor Hotel & Spa

The sumptuous and welcoming setting, which started life as a manor house when it was built in 1900, is now a renowned 4-star hotel and spa resort.

Victoria tells us more about how the couple chose the venue of their dreams: “We had seen a couple of places locally, but as soon as we visited Barton Manor, we knew we had found everything we wanted. The mix of period, timeless elegance with all the modern facilities was exactly what we were looking for, both for ourselves and for our guests. Everything from the wedding setting to the rooms and the beautiful gardens were just exactly what we had pictured.

“The location was also perfect – it’s right in the heart of Lancashire, so easy for travel and accommodating all our guests and from the outset, our wedding co-ordinator Chloe, whose services were provided as part of the package, couldn’t do enough for us to help us achieve everything we wanted for the day.”

After being introduced by mutual friends in August 2021, Victoria and Craig got engaged in December 2023 and were keen to tie the knot and complete their happy ever after and a day of celebrations along with their extended family.

Victoria continues: “We really wanted an Autumn wedding, so only had nine months to confirm a venue and get everything sorted. We loved the late availability options that the Barton Manor team had to offer and we were really lucky that our chosen date was available.

“We wanted a venue that felt grand but not overwhelming and Barton Manor struck the perfect balance. It felt intimate and welcoming, whilst retaining incredible style.”

Cut to 26th October 2024, and it was time for the couple’s wedding vision to become a reality. On that beautiful, crisp Autumn day, it was time for Victoria and Craig to finally say ‘I do’.

Victoria recalls: “We stayed at the hotel the night before and had a few drinks and leisurely early dinner with our family and friends, which was perfect.

“On the morning of the wedding, one of the things that I will always treasure is that we had the privacy and beautiful space of the Clubhouse for all of us to get ready together. It was really special as we were all in the main space as a big group getting our hair and make-up done – it was just the best start to the wonderful day ahead.”

After a beautiful and moving ceremony, it was on to the wedding breakfast and a menu that reflected the season and mood of the day:

“We chose a traditional three course menu – it was delicious and our guests all loved it.

“We had been recommended wedding entertainer Paul Guard and he was just phenomenal. He was master of ceremonies then continued entertaining everyone throughout the rest of the day – guests were up and dancing even before they’d finished eating. The atmosphere was just amazing!”

Reflecting on the day, Victoria concludes: “It was fantastic from start to finish. Chloe and the team listened to everything we wanted and brought it all to life.

“Barton Manor wasn’t just a venue – it was a part of our story. Every detail, every moment, felt like it was meant to be.”
