The Lime Bar Lounge has brought a trendy high-class fashionable ‘place to be’ to Penwortham, writes Susan Osborne
Brainchild of local Lancashire business woman Carol Rialas, Lime Bar Lounge has been an instant success. Carol, with a wealth of over 26 years’ experience managing multiple leisure nightclubs and bars was looking to develop her own brand locally and was thrilled when the opportunity arose in Penwortham.
Much hard work, planning and a whopping £750K went into establishing the brand and refitting the building to the highest standards. Named after the lime trees that surround it, Lime Bar Lounge is open throughout the day serving speciality teas, coffee, cakes, lunches, sharing boards plus an extensive range of wines, Champagne, beers, premium spirits and a fantastic choice of over 30 gins.
Tuesday and Thursday evenings offer a tasty tapas menu in the evening. (Advance booking recommended.)
“I wanted to offer the people of Penwortham something different and to complement their fabulous town. They have been amazing,” explains Carol.
Lime Bar Lounge is a fabulous venue for day-time coffee and cakes, lunch, cocktails, and evenings with friends, soaking up the vibrant atmosphere. It also made a great backdrop for this month’s fashion shoot!
Continental style outdoor seating is tastefully styled to reflect the interior décor. Inside, the family-friendly ground floor, in fashionable grey hues with steel and glass features, offers a choice of seating from comfortable sofas to high stools, easy access for buggies and wheelchairs plus baby-changing facilities.
The mezzanine, benefitting from the vivacious atmosphere below, offers the perfect space for private parties, girly gatherings, boys’ nights, business meetings, baby showers, funerals and all kinds of celebrations. General manager, Imogen Suffell, bringing industry experience to the business, is focused on working with and supporting local businesses and the local community. The fabulous cakes, including an alcohol-infused selection (Amaretto cake particularly recommended) are all home-baked by a local lady. Lunch and tapas menus make good use of fresh local produce. Add a fine selection of wines, beers, spirits and Champagne to the dynamic atmosphere and you have a cocktail for a very successful evening!
Carol already has future expansion in mind for her trendy lounge bar. Generously sponsored by Moët & Chandon this Champagne venue is already in party mode with 2 for 1 cocktails on offer every evening from 5-7pm.
