DREAM DESIGN

A Ribble Valley couple are thrilled with the new en-suite bathroom and separate steam room that have recently been installed in their Whalley property

When Ian and Helen Burn chose Ribble Valley Bathrooms to create a luxurious house bathroom and steam room along with a beautiful en-suite at their Whalley home, they never imagined the project would go far beyond their expectations.

The design team at Ribble Valley Bathrooms certainly proved that you don’t need a lot of space for a bathroom to be beautiful and with clever design, there is no need to compromise on luxury.

Helen says: “I would highly recommend RVB. Having had experience of working with other bathroom companies, RVB are streets ahead in the choices available in the showroom, customer services and professional workmanship.”

HOUSE BATHROOM
In the house bathroom, Ian and Helen opted for dark tiles and teamed this with Keuco brushed gold brassware and Inox furniture to evoke richness and luxury. A dark bathroom has a bold aesthetic, offering an atmospheric feel to the space. Soft mood lighting was used, and the design, by Abbie at RVB, incorporated offset niches to create more depth. Adding to the ambience, they installed a bespoke steam room, which was finished with a smoked glass shower door, fully sealable to accommodate the steam. A bench was also incorporated for relaxation, tiled with the same floor and wall tiles to ensure there was no compromise on the overall aesthetic.

MASTER EN-SUITE
In contrast to the steam room, Ian and Helen opted for a light, neutral feel to the en-suite bathroom. Beginning each day in this room, the design objective was to create a space that was fresh, with clean lines. Large format Calacatta tiles, a favourite with clients, were applied to both the floor and walls to help elongate the bathroom. Ian and Helen also opted for wall hung furniture and sanitaryware and a large LED mirror to increase the illusion of space. Incorporating lots of different materials into this space including gloss tiles and glass fronted furniture to reflect light, a stone shower tray to add a different dimension, Zucchetti brushed black chrome brassware, natural stone tops for open shelving and niches, resulted in a beautiful room with clever storage solutions that was visually pleasing and minimal to the eye.

Both bathrooms were installed by RVB’s approved fitters, M Schofield Construction who have four highly qualified plumbing and bathroom installation teams, who focus solely on bathrooms.

Run by sisters Sophie and Abbie Schofield, Ribble Valley Bathrooms has endless inspiration with 27 covetable bathroom displays over 273 square metres, all designed using a range of carefully selected brands.

“We are proud to offer exceptional customer service and our emphasis is on the customer journey,” explains Sophie. “We know the importance of having the perfect bathroom that provides a wonderfully relaxing wellness space to start and end each day – this is exactly what we work so hard to provide.”
