Managing Director Kristian Hansen explains: “We work closely with architects on a project and we guarantee that all our products are cutting edge and of the very highest quality and performance. All of our design team have an engineering background, and we carefully consider the balance of the whole property and work holistically to create living spaces that embrace natural light, stunning views and merge the inside with the outside seamlessly.”
Kristian founded Clear Living after identifying a gap in the market which he realised they were perfectly positioned to fill: “My family business worked in the commercial market however we were getting more and more enquiries from architects and builders for domestic projects, which were becoming too complex for their glaziers to complete. We realised the need for a business which could handle the high end, challenging projects where architects were designing contemporary and large-scale glazing – and Clear Living was born,” he explains.
Bringing visionary concepts to life, the team at Clear Living are highly specialised and trained in the installation of bespoke glass. They have a wealth of industry experience thus guaranteeing the very highest level of service from concept through to completion: “The focus is on free-flowing spaces,” adds Kristian.
“In traditional glazing it is the frame that provides the strength but by utilising the structural qualities of the glass we are able to do away with the frames, or reduce to a minimum, and create aesthetically amazing living spaces of seamless glass which connect directly with the building and therefore become an intrinsic part of the design.”
Clear Living undertake structural glass projects both nationally and internationally and work with a trusted network of suppliers including Sky-Frame, SolarLux and Secco Sistemi, to ensure their designs are tailored to meet the unique needs and preferences of each client: “Our designs and installations are minimalist and unique in order to maximise viewpoints – we work on a philosophy that anything is possible and at Clear Living we often take on projects that other companies and designers have said won’t work, and we find ways to make sure they do!”
While aesthetics are considered important, the performance of the glass is also central to the design and Clear Living places an equal emphasis on meeting and exceeding the thermal efficiency and energy transfer requirements of each project they work on: “Considering the balance of the whole house is central to the creation and installation,” says Kristian.
“Our glass solutions are not only beautiful to look at but are also durable and energy-efficient. They are engineered to withstand the elements and provide a high standard of both insulation and security.”
