ESTATE LIFE

Gisburne Park Estate is a 1,000-acre estate surrounding Gisburn, owned and managed by Guy Hindley, who is converting it into a thriving tourist destination called Ribblesdale Park

It feels like spring is certainly on its way at the estate. The sun is out, it’s warm and the park is looking as good as ever having been lovingly tended throughout the winter. What a difference to this time last year when we had to close the park due to snow.

Our main focus on the park this year is refurbishing the holiday lodges and cottages. We are well under way with this programme and I look forward to sharing the images of the results soon.

We have also started a fencing and wall improvement programme across the estate and look forward to welcoming some new tenants this year.

2019 has started well at Ribblesdale Park with short breaks being enjoyed by families and couples from across the UK, many of whom we welcome back multiple times throughout the year. School holidays always prove popular, with families visiting the estate to enjoy some quality time together, and February half term was no different breaking last year’s record.

We are looking forward to welcoming a handful of new lodges onto the park this year, some of which have been designed and custom built for their owners.

We currently have some lodges which are for sale at Ribblesdale Park, with prices starting from around £100,000. All of these lodges come fully furnished with spacious decking areas and views of the Yorkshire Dales. If you would like more information, or to book a private tour of our lodges, please don’t hesitate to get in touch to arrange a viewing.

Gisburne Park Estate is also the largest wedding venue in the Ribble Valley, where you really can create the wedding of your dreams. Your chosen marquee or tipi is surrounded by 70ft cliffs, overlooked by 300-year-old beech trees and is perched on the tributary of Stock Beck and the River Ribble and it’s yours exclusively for the whole week.

We can accommodate over 200 guests overnight in state-of-the-art lodges, historic houses and cosy cottages all with private hot tubs.

With a select number of dates available each year, they are filling fast. Please do call Sarah on 01200 411233 to arrange your private viewing of the estate.

Our gourmet café, Hindelinis, is as popular as ever with both holidaymakers and locals alike. The all-day breakfast is always a huge draw at weekends, with ice creams proving an ever-popular treat during the school holidays!
