Estate Life

Gisburne Park Estate is a 1,000-acre estate surrounding Gisburn, owned and managed by Guy Hindley, who is converting it into a thriving tourist destination called Ribblesdale Park

Spring is well on its way! We have two new agricultural tenants who have moved onto the estate and taken some large blocks of farmland in and around Gisburn. Fencing has been repaired, gates replaced and already the park is starting to look tidier. There are lambs everywhere so if you are walking your dog remember to keep them on a lead.

We have commissioned a conservation engineer to help us process the refurbishment of the Old Kennels, which is essentially a ruin. This has been a fascinating process as we are dealing with an untouched building from the early 1800s. Works will commence on this within the next few months.

Our wedding venue continues to grow and here at Gisburne Park Estate you really can create the wedding of your dreams. Your chosen marquee or tipi is surrounded by 70ft cliffs, overlooked by 300-year-old beech trees and is perched on the tributary of Stock Beck and the River Ribble and it’s yours exclusively for the whole week.

Upstream, beyond a picturesque bridge and set back slightly from the river’s edge is your magical, spacious three-bedroom bridal cottage featuring a breath-taking bridal suite, from where you can watch your dreams unfold. Exclusively yours, it has a large dressing room for wedding party preparations, two further bedrooms which are accessed by a separate staircase, two bathrooms, large kitchen, dining room and two lounge areas.

We are the largest wedding venue in the Ribble Valley, a fact of which I am very proud. We can accommodate over 200 guests overnight in state-of-the-art lodges, historic houses and cosy cottages all with private hot tubs.

With a select number of dates available each year, they are filling fast. Please do call Sarah on 01200 411233 to arrange your private viewing of the estate.

Our holiday village, Ribblesdale Park, continues to thrive with guests from across the UK enjoying short breaks, many of whom return year on year. We continue to see visitor numbers grow and are excited to welcome new guests to the park. We are looking forward to welcoming a handful of new lodges this year and continuing with the lodge refurbishment programme.

We currently have some lodges which are for sale, with prices starting from around £100,000. These come fully furnished with spacious decking areas and views of the Yorkshire Dales. If you would like a private tour of our show homes, please don’t hesitate to get in touch to arrange a viewing.
