Estate Life

Gisburne Park Estate is a 1,000-acre estate surrounding Gisburn, owned and managed by Guy Hindley, who is converting it into a thriving tourist destination called Ribblesdale Park

The month of May signals the start of our wedding season, which we are very much looking forward too. Over winter we have introduced a new upstream area to our already gorgeous wedding venue. This area is a wooded ‘island’ which is the perfect hideaway to capture those breathtaking images to keep forever.

Here at Gisburne Park Estate you really can create the wedding of your dreams. Your chosen marquee or tipi is surrounded by 70ft cliffs, overlooked by 300-year-old beech trees and is perched on the tributary of Stock Beck and the River Ribble and it’s yours exclusively for the whole week.

Upstream, beyond a picturesque bridge and set back slightly from the river’s edge is your magical, spacious three-bedroom bridal cottage featuring a breathtaking bridal suite, from where you can watch your dreams unfold. Exclusively yours, it has a large dressing room for wedding party preparations, two further bedrooms, which are accessed by a separate staircase, two bathrooms, large kitchen, dining room and two lounge areas.

We are the largest venue in the Ribble Valley, a fact of which I am very proud. We can accommodate over 200 guests overnight in state-of-the-art lodges, historic houses and cosy cottages all with private hot tubs.

With a select number of dates available each year, they are filling fast. Please do call Sarah on 01200 411233 to arrange your private viewing of the estate.

Our holiday village – Ribblesdale Park is currently undergoing a refurbishment programme for all our lodges and cottages. This is well underway, and I look forward to sharing the results with you once the photographers have been.

We also continue to work on a fencing and wall improvement programme across the estate with our new tenants, who are fitting into estate life brilliantly. Our visitors have really enjoyed seeing the lambs which now occupy the surrounding fields. Please do remember to keep your dogs on a lead if you are visiting us though.

We introduced a livery yard over the winter and this has proven extremely popular largely because it has a seven-furlong all-weather gallop and 15 acres of grazing land. We have a limited number of stables here but if you are interested please don’t hesitate to contact the office as I believe there is still a space left.

We currently have some lodges which are for sale, with prices starting from around £100,000. These come fully furnished with spacious decking areas and views of the Yorkshire Dales. If you would like a private tour of our show homes, please don’t hesitate to arrange a viewing.
