Gisburne Park Estate is a 1,000-acre estate surrounding Gisburn, owned and managed by Guy Hindley, who is converting it into a thriving tourist destination called Ribblesdale Park
We are pleased to say that our all-weather gallops are now fully operational in the heart of the estate. There is a long history of horses here – the Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot was named after Lord Ribblesdale and my grandfather was the captain of the 1952 Olympic Eventing Team.
The livery yard at Ellenthorpe is virtually full and we are looking at extending the number of stables and plans are afoot to set up a cross country course. If you’re interested in exercising your horse its only £10 per horse on the gallops.
Another bespoke built lodge has arrived on the park this month and is currently being installed. We have a number of lodges for sale from anything around £100,000 upwards. Ribblesdale Park is a 12-month season and sells a 125 year license with all the lodges. If you are interested in a private tour of the lodges please don’t hesitate to call the estate office.
Last month saw the start of this year’s wedding season, and it’s certainly started with a bang! From Bob Marley impersonators to duck races, each one has been uniquely different and thoroughly enjoyed by all!
Here at Gisburne Park Estate you really can create the wedding of your dreams. Your chosen marquee or tipi is surrounded by 70ft cliffs, overlooked by 300-year-old beech trees and is perched on the tributary of Stock Beck and the River Ribble and it’s yours exclusively for the whole week.
Upstream, beyond a picturesque bridge and set back slightly from the river’s edge is your magical, spacious three-bedroom bridal cottage featuring a breathtaking bridal suite, from where you can watch your dreams unfold.
We are the largest venue in the Ribble Valley, a fact of which I am very proud. We can accommodate over 200 guests overnight in state-of-the-art lodges, historic houses and cosy cottages all with private hot tubs.
