Estate Life

Gisburne Park Estate is owned and managed by Guy Hindley and his wife Amber, who are converting it into a thriving tourist destination

Gisburne Park Estate is excited to launch its inaugural multi-arts festival on 20th and 21st August 2022. On the back of everything we learned from the Gisburne Park pop-up festivals, we are delighted to introduce Gatherings at Gisburne.

The pop-up festivals captured everyone’s imagination when the world needed some positive news and its was plastered across the globe from Nepal to NYC. The experience of running those events taught us how to do it and also how not to do it.

There is an incredible line-up of artists, who will be performing down by the river in a setting unlike no other. The line-up includes Craig Charles and his jazz, funk, soul DJ set, Roger Sanchez, House Gospel Choir, Horse Meat Disco, Ibibio Sound Machine and Groit City Poets – to name just a few of the artists.

The festival will celebrate not just music but also art, food, wellness, poetry and much more. We are gathering a number of local stars to be a part of this amazing event. The much-celebrated Steven Smith from the Freemasons will be creating a pop-up banquet down by Riverside House on the banks of Stock Beck. Wellness expert and best-selling author Davinia Taylor will be participating in the wellness area alongside ice baths, IV drips, goat yoga, sound healing and much more.

In front of the mansion house we will be recreating a traditional village fete with a twist, with the help of an immersive theatre company.

Hindelinis will become a Jazz Café for the weekend with live music throughout. Another highlight will be the Peacock Tales Literary Tent where stories will be told, interviews given and secrets shared. One of those booked in so far is the renowned local storyteller Simon Entwistle who will be bringing local folklore to life. Actors, artists, musicians will be amongst a long list of characters to share in this forum.

Our objective is to curate a boutique, cultural celebration of the Ribble Valley in the most glorious location in the Forest of Bowland.

We look forward to establishing an annual date in the diary for everyone to gather at Gisburne and celebrate the magical countryside in which we live and all things Ribble Valley!
