Welcome to the Christmas edition of Estate Life. As always Hindelinis has become incredibly festive and our Christmas menu and afternoon tea are now available to be enjoyed.
Amber takes great pride in designing the afternoon tea with the chefs and as per usual they have excelled themselves and created something really delicious and fun. Included in the afternoon tea is a savoury selection of festive sandwiches and pigs in blankets, sweets and desserts include candy canes, lemon posset, snowman meringue, Christmas tree shortbread, mince pies, Santa’s belt macaroon and scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream.
This autumn we have spent a lot of our time on Ribblesdale Park upgrading the gardens around some of the lodges. New patio areas, hot tubs, festoon lighting, pathways, drainage and cosy fire pits have been added in order to make the customer experience more memorable.
Elsewhere on the estate we had our annual visit from Gisburn Primary School. Each year when they start to learn about local history they come for a visit and a tour of the hall. It’s fun showing them where King Charles and Oliver Cromwell slept, exploring the cellars and bringing to life what it was like when Lord Ribblesdale lived there with a house filled with people.
Amber and I remain preoccupied with executing our vision for the private members’ club, country house hotel and wellness resort here at Gisburne Park and are pleased to share more details in this magazine.
Our vision is for the next 10, 25 and 50 years as the decisions made now, if carefully considered, will benefit the estate and the wider area for a substantial period of time. We look forward to sharing our ideas and plans with you in due course and welcoming feedback.
