Estate Life

Gisburne Park Estate surrounding Gisburn, is owned and managed by Guy Hindley, who is converting it into a thriving tourist destination called Ribblesdale Park

For the last 15 years I have largely run this business by myself but over the last six months my wife Amber has taken a very active role in operations across the estate. Having grown up in California, she brings an American customer service sentiment to the business that in hospitality is invaluable.

After school in northern California, she studied finance at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas (SMU) and then went on to work for George W Bush’s office in Washington DC.

After two years in Washington DC, she moved to the bright lights of NYC to study acting and pursue a career in TV and film. This is where we met. She now finds herself running Gisburne Park Estate, which she is more than qualified to do.

One of the areas Amber is focusing a lot of her attention on is Hindelinis.

This summer we refurbished the ‘cafe’ and transformed into an all-day bar restaurant. This has created a significant increase in traffic which has highlighted other areas that need improving. This month I am excited to announce that we will be unveiling our new menu. This menu is full of new dishes while retaining some of the classics. There will be fewer items on the menu, but rest assured we have barely changed breakfast. We are also about to launch a new afternoon tea offering, which we are extremely excited about. Please join our Hindelinis social media pages to learn more about these changes.

As always we have lodges for sale on Ribblesdale Park. There is now a stunning state-of-the-art show lodge, which is available every day of the week for you to view. This two-bedroom lodge built by Lissett Homes, is on the market for £169,000. Ribblesdale Park is open 365 days of the year and boasts 1000 private acres of gorgeous rolling Ribble Valley countryside. Also available to lodge owners is the heated outdoor swimming pool, which is located in the walled gardens of the old mansion house. Please visit Hindelinis Bar and Restaurant in the heart of the park and someone will assist you with viewing this lodge.
