The food at the Freemasons is continually evolving with the team working tirelessly to use the great ingredients available to them to delight and tantalise their customers.
The trend at the moment sees too many places doing the same thing but with their choice of menus, the Freemasons really is bucking that trend. Add to this outstanding service, and guests are treated to an unrivalled dining experience – and it is affordable too!
The menus available are varied and perfectly designed to allow diners to go the ‘full Monty’ with the seven indulgent courses from the Tasting Menu or the Seasonal Menu, where you can have the chefs’ latest creations. It is superb value as is the traditional Sunday lunch! There really is something special for everyone here from a simple luncheon to the gastronomic tasting menu.
Affirmation of the Freemasons’ continued achievement is the AA Restaurant of the Year Award 2018 and yet again being the highest rated pub in Lancashire, the North West and beyond as voted for in the Top 50 Gastropubs UK.
Yet again to be placed fourth in the Top 50 UK Gastro Pubs, this award is very special as the Freemasons is the only establishment in the North West in this illustrious list – it is an amazing achievement.
I recently had the pleasure, with some friends, to enjoy a private function at the Freemasons. It was a lovely affair with a menu designed especially for us and the youngsters even got their own special treat.
The food and wine was superb and left us all really very content. We were very impressed by the wonderful service from the ever-present Aga, ably assisted by new additions Simon Farrimond and Joseph Hook, who bring along a wealth of skill and experience, which only enhances the great team at the Freemasons.
The whole dining experience at the Freemasons is one not to be missed. Forget the awards and look at why they have them. It is a beautiful place, friendly with delightful service, producing superb food and offering a choice of great wine, and last but not least, great value!
