Owner Pat Haslam revealed the secrets of her success: “I’m extremely particular about what comes into the shop,” she said. “I’m lucky to have A-list clients who bring fabulous labels. It simply has to be perfect. The idea is that when you walk through the door, you’d never realise this is re-sale, take a closer look at the price tags and you’ll be taken by surprise.
“For a big occasion you have to get it right. Whatever her age, a lady wants to feel and look beautiful it’s simply about giving her confidence. So it’s my job to be honest and tell someone when an outfit looks great or perhaps when it could be better, it’s a very personal service.
“There are lots of ladies who will have invested in a first-class designer outfit for a special occasion that now resides at the back of their wardrobe. So, I’d invite them to bring it to us for re-sale. It means they’ll get a return on their investment, while someone else has the joy of wearing it again!”
