When it comes to making eyes look beautiful, there’s a team in Penwortham who are devoted to doing just that, writes Kate Ford
There’s an awful lot to be said for finding out what your special talent is and then focusing on that one area of brilliance. That’s exactly what Louise Birchall and Gillian Benson did over two years ago, when they set up EyeCandy Lash and Brow Bar in Penwortham.
Louise and Gillian’s salon is the only one in Preston which is solely dedicated to lashes and brows. The two therapists, who offer a range of expert treatments, are so dedicated to their work that clients now call them the ‘brow queen’ and ‘lash queen’ of Penwortham.
‘Brow queen’ Louise was a beauty therapist for over 20 years before deciding to focus on brows. She’s a specialist in microblading, a much sought-after, semi-permanent brow treatment which can last up to two years. “Clients love it because it really can transform the face by creating the perfect brows,” says Louise. “It’s also ideal for anyone who might be starting cancer treatment and fear losing their brows.”
Other brow treatments include Powder Shading, Combo Brows and Henna Brows. Working alongside Louise in the friendly and stylish salon is ‘lash queen’ Gillian. A lash expert for around five years, Gillian offers lash tints, LVL (length-volume-lift) treatments, classic lashes, which are lash extensions for added volume, and the super-voluminous and extremely popular Russian lashes.
