With over 40 years’ experience specialising in AGA and Rayburn appliances, Jacksons of Preston have built a first-class reputation for both quality and service: “We pride ourselves on customer satisfaction,” Managing Director Stephen Jackson explains. “We provide a professional service that is second to none.”
Jacksons is a unique family firm. Stephen began the business with his father Eddie Jackson – his mum Valerie moved from social services to work in the business up until her retirement earlier this year. Stephen’s wife Tracy is also involved along with daughters Beth and Laura: “We all get along really well working together,” Beth tells me. “We want people to come to the showroom and enjoy the relaxed friendly environment, where we can use our expertise to offer the best advice.”
In October 2018 Jacksons moved to their new premises which houses a fabulous showroom where they can display the wide range of top-class appliances and service they supply.
Offering a superb selection of high-end cookers, stoves, cookware and accessories, Jacksons are an ever-evolving business who are reactive to market change and customer needs. They only supply quality, hand-crafted range cookers including the excellence of Everhot, Rayburn and Esse, with the choice of electric, gas, hybrid, oil or woodfired.
Jacksons also supply stoves from Esse and the ever-popular AGA range, which embody the best traditions with the very latest technology: “All the suppliers we work with have a reputation for technical excellence and this includes the cookware by Stellar and the wide range of accessories we recommend.”
Jacksons does more than supply appliances however and offers a prime maintenance service.
“We have been maintaining AGA and Rayburn cookers throughout the North West for over 20 years,” Beth explains. “We are fully qualified Gas, Hetas and Oftec engineers and provide a fast and friendly system with many satisfied customers. All of our engineers are fully qualified, reliable and professional.”
Using their knowledge and expertise, Jacksons have even created their own range of cleaning products ‘Range Refresh’, manufactured in the UK and especially for use on range cookers and ovens.
To showcase what their appliances can do, Jacksons are hosting an open day event on 19th September and invite all customers old and new to come along and enjoy the day. Penny Zako, a renowned food writer, restaurant critic and AGA and Rayburn specialist, will be on hand all day doing live cookery demonstrations, where the audience can sample the delights and ask the expert while she showcases her talents. With glasses of fizz and fabulous food it will be the perfect day to see the full range of services and levels of expertise that Jacksons of Preston have to offer.
