Founded in 1991, Burning Desires Limited has grown steadily to become one of the largest retailers and trade suppliers of luxury and bespoke designed fireplaces in the North West: “Within our premier showrooms we have over 70 displays covering an extensive range of fires and fireplaces,” explains Managing Director Sean Treaddell.
“We supply and install fires and fireplaces throughout the country including Lancashire, Cheshire, Cumbria, Isle of Man, the Lake District, Yorkshire and often further afield – having recently installed a fireplace in Kent.”
Not a company to stand still, extensive works had begun on the showroom prior to lockdown and these have now been completed with a new décor and brands in place. They also used local businesses to complete the work, including the aptly named ‘Chimney Pot’ design carpet laid by Gainsborough Flooring of Preston.
“Our philosophy is to always be pro-active and we are continually looking out for new products and designs. It is important as a business never to stand still,” Sean says.

Another leading range is Kalfire, a renowned designer and manufacturer of high quality gas, electric and wood-burning fireplaces established in the Netherlands in 1981.

Stovax & Gazco are the UK’s largest stove and fireplace producer and another key partner at Burning Desires Limited. The range of stoves includes a number of design options, from contemporary to the more traditional.
