There will be plenty of sparkle at the first Lancashire Fizz Festival to be held in Clitheroe
For the first time in four years, the Fizz Festival will expand from its base in Cheshire over to Lancashire for the inaugural event at Holmes Mill in Clitheroe.
“We are so looking forward to the event and our producers and suppliers are equally excited”, says Janet Harrison, of Cracking Wine, the organiser of the festival in collaboration with Holmes Mill.
The Fizz Festival, which is expected to attract more than 350 visitors to Clitheroe, has always been about discovering and championing producers of top quality Champagne and sparkling wine from around the world.
Visitors pay a £20 ticket price (discounts for groups of four) which includes a free tasting of everything at the festival and represents amazing value for money. Visitors also have the opportunity to talk directly to the producers, discover how the wines are made and buy them by the bottle or the case, at discounted prices.
“We are delighted to bring the Fizz Festival to Holmes Mill. It’s a fantastic opportunity to try unusual Champagne and sparkling wines and enjoy a bite to eat in the gorgeous surroundings of the Spinning Block restaurant next door – what’s not to love?” said Heidi Kettle, Holmes Mill Group Marketing Manager.
Special packages for fizz and food are available on the Holmes Mill website and even a reduced rate at the Spinning Block Hotel should you wish to make a night of it!
Amazing suppliers will include the winner of the Best Champagne Award 2017, Espritde Champagne with Champagne Jacques Chaput L’Authentic.
A pioneering young Crémant producer from Alsace will also be making the journey over to Clitheroe. You will have an opportunity to sample the fabulous Crémant from Jean-Claude Buecher et Fils.
Local independent wine merchants Whalley Wine Shop will also be in attendance with a fantastic range of Champagne and sparkling wine, brought with their usual wit and charm.
