Karndean launched its Heritage Collection earlier this year featuring exquisite designs inspired by the architectural tiled floors of grand Victorian and Regency villas and townhouses
Over the past few months we’ve found that not only have we fallen in love with this spectacular range but so have many of our customers!
The Collection is absolutely perfect for busy rooms such as hallways, bathrooms and kitchens where highly durable flooring is required. With its hard-wearing and waterproof qualities each individual tile comes with bevelled edges for a highly realistic look, but unlike the original Victorian floors that required regular waxing and buffing, this Karndean floor is easy to maintain, resisting spills and stains.
From striking monochrome designs to beautifully blended traditional patterns, the Heritage Collection reflects both the classic elegance of historic homes and the boldness of contemporary trends.
It’s easy to recreate the original character of elegant period interiors with the classic monochrome or traditional neo-classical colour combination this collection offers. It’s available in four tile patterns – Clifton, Lansdown, Mayfair and Montpellier.
Clifton has a traditional star and square pattern formed of a mix of square and triangular tiles, its bold clean lines create an authentic and sophisticated style in any interior.
Lansdown presents a clean and contemporary grid effect which looks stunning in a simple yet elegant black and white pattern or highlighted with a bold blue or green inset. For a more modern look, a softer, understated option is offered in a combination of dove grey and white.
Mayfair is a traditional pattern frequently found in the entrance halls of Victorian homes and is offered in a classic colour combination of blue and terracotta or as a modern interpretation with a combination of shades of blue, crimson and gold.
The opulent Montpellier mixes octagonal tiles with square insets in a contrasting shade for a neo-classical style and is presented in eight suggested colourways.
You could, of course, create your own individual style reflecting the personality of your home, either using the collection’s pre-assembled colour combinations in on-trend shades such as dove grey, taupe or laurel, or in a bespoke mix of shades for a totally unique look. With 10 exclusive colours to choose from, including timeless terracotta, crimson and gold, plus contemporary blush pink and baby blue, it’s simple to create a stylish design that adds character to both period and modern homes.
