Lancaster’s Food and Drink Festival takes over Lancaster’s Leisure Park for the early May Bank Holiday weekend with over 60 indoor and outdoor stalls, gazebos and marquees groaning with culinary goodness. The finest local growers, producers, retailers and artisan chefs from across the North West, and beyond, will be plying their wares of gastronomic delights and popular free samples!
The Blackburn Beer Festival marks its fifth year with an outstanding menu of the best brewers and producers can muster at Blackburn Rugby Club from Friday 3rd May to Sunday 5th May 2019. Tickets: £5 per day or three days for £10, available online, or cash on the door. Opening hours vary daily.

Bowland Beer Hall has been announced as SIBA UK’s Best Independent Craft Beer Bar. The awards are designed to highlight the very best craft beer brewers, retailers, restaurants and pubs across the country. The Bowland Beer Hall award recognises the business’s talent for supplying the best beer in the UK. Warren Bennett, MD at Bowland Brewery, collected the award along with the Bowland Brewery team. Bennett said: “Being recognised by our peers in the industry for the excellence both of the beer and the beer hall makes us all very proud.”
Herdwick spring lamb has made a welcome return to Booths for its limited four-month season. Celebrated by the Prince of Wales, this iconic breed is enjoying a retail renaissance. Booths is one of the very few supermarket to stock the seasonal delicacy in their work to sustain traditional Cumbrian hill farming. Championed by Michelin chefs, Herdwick lamb will soon make an appearance on menus across the country, but you don’t have to eat out for a taste of the Cumbrian hills, just pop down to Booths’ meat counter.
FAIRHAVEN FOOD FESTIVAL – THE FEAST
25th and 26th May sees the return of the Fairhaven Food Festival, which takes place within the beautiful grounds of AKS Lytham. This family friendly event has been designed to showcase some local and unique gastronomic delights, alongside a variety of artisan market stalls. A selection of hot world foods will be available from some of Lancashire’s best street food vendors and the bar will serve craft beer and locally distilled gin.
