Tucked away in the tranquil village of Rimington and with a second shop in the vibrant village of Whalley is Cosgroves – a long-established retailer of women’s and men’s fashion featuring many prestigious, designer names that are world-renowned.
While the Whalley store sells predominately menswear, the beautifully spacious Rimington shop has two floors of stunning women’s fashion.
With ample room for social distancing and hand sanitisers at the entrance, shoppers can be sure of an ultimately safe experience when they visit either shop.
Welcoming, and with a knowledgeable team, Cosgroves has kept ahead of the times, putting Facebook and Instagram fashion displays online, giving live Facetime fashion consultations and sending out gifts, vouchers and garments by post.
As Sue Watson and Helen Watterson explain: “We are very lucky that we have been able to adapt quickly to keep Cosgroves up to date and relevant. We have enhanced social distancing as they are both such spacious stores so customers can be assured, they are in a safe environment. It’s all very positive.”
When visiting Rimington, shoppers will discover that there are some of the great names in accessories too including Dent leather gloves, bags by Abbacino along with a lovely collection of jewellery and fragranced candles, which make great Christmas gifts!
And, with festivities on the horizon Cosgroves have also adapted their collections to the current times in which we live: “At the moment ladies are opting for a more casual look but maybe with a touch of sparkle.”
Featuring in the Cosgroves’ collection is a new name for the store – Skovhuus, a Danish knitwear brand, as well as sweaters from Eve of Paradise, separates and accessories by Betty Barclay and stylish tweeds by Spanish brand Bariloche, who produce premium quality, well-tailored tweeds.
Other names include Just White, Latte, Basler, Joseph Ribkoff, Saint James, Gerry Weber, Caroline Biss, Brax and Bianca which has a great collection of casual chunky knits that can be teamed with checked trousers or jeans.
“Ladies are looking for the feel-good factor and you can definitely find it in these collections,” agree Sue and Helen.
At the Whalley store, Paul and Martyn are delighted with the wide range of gifts available and visitors will find international menswear brands offering a total lifestyle look, including Gant, Olymp, Polo Ralph Lauren, Fynch Hatton, Tommy Hilfiger, Lacoste, Green Coast and Giordano as well as shoes by Barker.
At both Cosgroves’ stores, shoppers will be welcomed by an expert team who offer a personal service, advising on the look you want to achieve.
