Hidden Gem With Old Fashioned Service

Nestled just off the high street in Cleveleys town centre, you’ll find the UK’s first ever Millstores. The perfect spot for people to pop in and find a high-quality bargain, Ali Gudgeon went along to find out more. Photography: Michael Porter

The brand-new destination retail space is a welcome addition to the streets of the seaside town. Occupying what used to be Wilko, the store on Nutter Road which boasts 13,000 square feet, has had a £150,000 makeover, including bright new signage and a reconfigured layout.

This new venture by Jon Addis and Simon Yates, who already own Ena Mill in Atherton and The Courtyard in Tarleton, marks the strategic expansion of their retail footprint. They aim to combine the best retail experiences in the heart of Cleveley’s town centre.

The discount outlet has over 10,000 product lines, featuring some well-known brands such as Apricot, Rieker Footwear, Regatta, Tog24, Julian Charles and Yankee Candle. From fashion and footwear, to bedding, homeware, soft furnishings, handbags, luggage, gifts and more, there really is something for everyone!

From the moment you step inside the store, you’re personally greeted at the entrance before you start to browse down the many inviting aisles. “We pride ourselves on good old-fashioned customer service,” says Jon. “And what’s even better is that the store is completely dog-friendly so you can bring along your pampered pooches.” The store even sells dog toys, treats and accessories, so they won’t feel left out on your visit.

Perfect for keeping warm and dry whilst out walking the dog, doing some garden maintenance or for braving the changing weather!

For those who can’t get enough of all things retail, why not visit The Courtyard in Tarleton, or the original store, Ena Mill. Located in Atherton, this 45,000 square foot retail outlet offers more than 200 brands with an authentic Italian coffee shop on site to provide much needed refreshments!
