Late Night Festive Shopping

With Added Sparkle

Christmas is always magical at Barton Grange, especially this year when we’re all looking forward to celebrating with family and friends. With extra-special displays and extended late-night opening, there’s no danger of anyone leaving it till ‘The Night Before Christmas’, writes Kate Bowyer. Photography: Kirsten Platt

Barton Grange’s renowned Christmas displays are truly breathtaking this year, themed around ‘A Christmas of New Beginnings’, stylishly combining tree decorations and lights with furnishings, seasonal floristry, Christmas figures, ribbons, décor, delectable treats, gifts, and lots of festive fun!

Step into the rich reds and golds of traditional or crystal-sharp contemporary cool in silver ice. Bring the magic of a frosted festive woodland indoors with snowy garden’s natural-hued decorations, or party up a snowstorm with the rainbow flamboyance of kitchmas!

There’s plenty to delight Hansels and Gretels of all ages with a feast for the eyes in candy’s lane’s gingerbread and candy stripes. Float away in fairyland’s dreamy midnight blues and contrasting pale pinks, or create your own Christmas wonderland with inspiration from the popular Lemax Village Collection, with a myriad of miniature scenes perfect for the mantelpiece, coffee table, windowsill or shelves.

Because Christmas 2021 is too special to rush, even Santa can relax with late night opening until 8pm Tuesdays to Saturdays, from Tuesday 16th November until Saturday 18th December 2021. Giving everyone the opportunity to shop at a time and pace of their choosing, whether making a night of it with the whole family, or enjoying a quiet wander gathering inspiration and securing that perfect present away from the daytime queues.

Making it really special, from 4pm every late night opening, a sparkling walk of lights will light up the plant area. Treat yourself or catch up with friends over a two or three course Christmas dinner in Willows Restaurant, or enjoy homemade favourites of hotpot supper or pie, peas and gravy (vegetarian options too), in the Riverside Café, from 4pm to 7pm during late night opening.

If that inspires you to cook up a Christmas storm, there’s delectable treats and edible gifts aplenty, with show-stealers in the dining and lighting collections to set everything off in style. With special Christmas events, hampers, and gift inspiration for everyone (not forgetting the dog), there’s only one thing left on the list, and luckily, you’re in the right place, the perfect Christmas tree!
