Tucked away on George Street in the former Maureen Cookson’s in Whalley is Purple Cupcakes that supplies everything you need for making perfect cakes and cupcakes – along with some carefully chosen treats that are freshly made each day!
Owner Fiona Rankin has more than 10 years’ experience in the cake making industry and can advise on specialist equipment and all the latest techniques. Her Whalley base features everything bakers need including cakes tins, cupcake cases, sprinkles, sugar paste, cutters, ribbons, cake candles, paste colours, cake drums and boxes. Much of the equipment including foam balls, work boards and embossing stamps are under Purple Cupcake’s very own brand.
Also available is a daily choice of cupcakes and treats – these can be anything from Rocky Roads and chocolates brownies to giant meringues and macarons – delicious!
Purple Cupcakes sells individual and bespoke chocolate bars and lollipops for special occasions and sells Callebaut chocolate and moulds for you to have a go yourself at home. So, whether you are a beginner or a professional pop in to Purple Cupcakes to see the vast array of equipment available.
