Little Piece Of Luxury

Welcome to The Atelier World – a pre-loved portal featuring luxurious, super-brand fashion pieces

Preserving and adding to the history of luxury fashion pieces, that are sourced from all over the globe, is what Ribble Valley-based The Atelier World does best. Each unique item has a story to tell – whether it’s from a collection owned by a former American supermodel or a current season super-brand, Atelier will ensure it is in peak condition when it passes on to its new owner.

Atelier is the brainchild of former marketing professional Michelle Payne, who uses her worldwide contacts to seek out pre-loved top quality, sought-after bags, shoes, accessories and clothing. Some of the items have never been used or worn and all are in tip-top condition.

Visit Atelier’s online portal and discover luxury designer items from an endless list of iconic labels. Hermes, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior – it’s a one stop shop for all things luxury.

Moving from Cheshire, Michelle now lives in the heart of the Ribble Valley where Atelier has a studio: “Atelier allows people to buy, sell and even swap luxury designer items from a huge collection of iconic names and labels,” explains Michelle, who founded the company following a de-clutter of her wardrobe during lockdown.

Having always had a passion for fashion, it was a light bulb moment: “There is no time span on luxury, and I wanted to create an online space to deliver the very best designer goods (at competitive prices) and also give the highest boutique-esque customer experience.”

Launching the business, Michelle began to source items mainly from the UK but since then she has made numerous contacts in Europe and the US: “We have a big vision – an international growth strategy,” she says of Atelier, which is the North West’s fastest growing, exclusive buyer and re-seller of unique designer pieces.

Atelier’s website attracts luxury connoisseurs from all over the world, as Michelle explains: “It’s a fantastic community, who are all passionate about super brands and investment pieces. These girls aren’t looking to buy because they want to show off – they simply enjoy owning something exclusive and luxurious. Follow us on Instagram @theatelier_world and indulge your senses!”

Stocking current season and vintage items, a number of Atelier’s pieces are highly collectable such as the rare Chanel minaudiere: “The minaudiere was first introduced in the 1920s – it is almost like a cross between a piece of jewellery and a bag and Chanel was the forerunner to introduce these seasonal, highly sought after, collector’s items.

“They don’t often come up on the open market, but because we have the contacts we can source,” adds Michelle, who explains that even current season items can often be terrific investments.

“There are often long waiting lists for highly sought-after super brands, for example the waiting list for a Hermes Birkin bag can be eye watering!”

Having bought items new, many women are now acutely aware of the demand for sought after super brands: “Sellers are definitely becoming much more discerning. They really look after these pieces, they understand the market so they keep dust bags and boxes so when they come to sell everything is perfect.”
