Aiming to give customers the very best choice, ShoeMed in Clitheroe has shoes in different styles, widths and depths and this season’s collection offers something for everyone.

With an outstanding, friendly team of four, all with an in-depth product knowledge, ShoeMed is dedicated to helping customers select a shoe that is right for them. There’s no rush or hard sell, as the team likes to take time to listen to customers about any problems they may be experiencing in order to help them find the correct style of shoe to suit their feet.

Offering a professional foot measuring service, many shoes offered by ShoeMed are specifically designed to help with problems such as Plantar Fasciitis, Morton’s Neuroma, painful bunions, arthritis and diabetes, while others can help prevent and ease knee, hip and back pain.

“Just because we are adults doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be measured and fitted for footwear,” says ShoeMed’s Julia Howarth. “It never ceases to amaze us how many customers come to us wearing shoes that are too short, long, narrow or not deep enough.”

Brands include Finn Comfort, Semler, Fidelio, Joya, DB wider fit, Legero, who have introduced a Chelsea boot to their collection, and Waldlaufer, who have launched a men’s shoe in super-soft deer skin leather: “I have a pair and they are amazingly soft and comfortable,” adds Neil Howarth. In addition, many of this season’s styles feature GoreTex linings.

There is a great range of accessories too at ShoeMed, including insoles, Sockwell compression socks, leather gel and Carbon Pro, a breathable, waterproofing spray for all materials.

New to ShoeMed is the ‘hands-free’ Healthy Back Bag – a bag that is comfortable, organised and ergonomically designed to hug the natural curve of the spine, creating less strain on your back, neck and shoulders.

“It is a bag that is secure and weather resistant, and because it is designed with comfort in mind, it perfectly complements our range of footwear,” explains Julia.

“When customers come to us we like them to relax and let us ease the burden of finding comfortable shoes to fit problematic, awkward and painful feet. We consider correct fitting footwear is an investment in health and wellbeing whatever our age.”

With autumn on the horizon, the new collections feature popular shades of aubergine, petrol blue and mustard while in the Finn Comfort collection, customers will find shoes in exclusive styles, with leather, lacing and stitching especially chosen by Neil and Julia.
