Make Your Festivities Super Special!

The festive period is nearly upon us so why not check out what’s on offer when dining out

In the past eating out on Christmas Day was viewed totally unacceptable and unfathomable for some. Fast forward to 2021 and it is a trend that is booming – and rightly so.

No one will be stressed about the cooking, no prepping, peeling or chopping on Christmas Eve and the biggest bonus – no washing up in the evening!

Here in the Ribble Valley restaurants are going all out to make Christmas Day really special with entertainment, a glass of fizz on arrival – not forgetting the super-delicious food featured on the menus.

Many families have become accustomed to eating out on Christmas Day – it seems that once tried, it becomes a tradition to adhere to.

If you eat out it means the cook in the family can enjoy their day too. You can make it as formal or as casual as you like. If like many, you prefer to play things down, choose a cosy country pub where you can sit in front of a roaring fire while enjoying a traditional festive dinner or perhaps something a little different.

Those who have joined the Christmas eating out brigade love it – it’s more relaxing, it’s convenient, no shopping for all the special ingredients and no clearing up after being in the kitchen cooking for hours. Statistics reveal that post-dinner washing up is the most disliked part of Christmas Day!

While some think eating out is more expensive, these fears are largely unfounded – eating out doesn’t work out much more than cooking at home, when you consider the time and labour saved.

In the run-up to Christmas there’s lots going on – you can enjoy a memorable night out with friends and family at one of the Ribble Valley’s renowned restaurants or country inns – or alternatively book a party night with festive fun and entertainment all included!
