Husband and wife team Paul and Joanna Jackson have 30 years experience in the building and kitchen industry.

Team that with their top-of-the-range German kitchens from Schuller, their superior status as a Siemens IQ 5*Design Studio and Elite Silestone showroom and you know you’re in good hands with BetterHaus.

The sole distributor of the beautifully made Schuller Kitchens for the Ribble Valley, BetterHaus have also recently achieved Siemens 5* IQ Design Studio status setting them apart from the rest with their range of state-of-the-art appliances as well as kitchens.

“Everyone has very different and distinctive ideas on what they want their new kitchen to look like, what they want it to include and incorporate and how they want it to feel within their home,” said Joanna Jackson.

“We enjoy embarking on each and every customer’s journey with us, marrying their ideas and requirements with our fantastic range of units, worktops and finishes, and doing something that little bit different, ultimately delivering them the kitchen they have been dreaming of.”

Paul added: “With kitchens being the heart of so many homes it is no wonder that new trends and designs are emerging at such a fast rate.

“The new range for 2015 has an extensive choice of colours too, including a brand new range of greys which are fast becoming the firm favourites of the moment.

“We are also increasingly mirroring the trends from Europe to incorporate contrasting units or islands that might mix colours or textures within the kitchen, as well as the ever popular gloss units. We have a spectacular range of matt and glass fronted cabinets that are always a talking point in the showroom.”

Alongside the impressive choice of colours and styles for the contemporary kitchen, BetterHaus have a wide choice of modern classic finishes to suit all homes and tastes, including a new country range launched this year – perfect for the more rural Ribble Valley homes.

The showroom on Hawthorne Business Park has undergone a complete refit to incorporate the latest designs and most up to the minute innovations and appliances from Siemens.

A Clitheroe kitchen – with curves

When Brian Austin started his home refurbishment project he visited several showrooms in the area for inspiration and to meet the people who could turn his ideas into reality.
“What stood out for us about BetterHaus from the start was that Paul and Jo really listened to our ideas, they took them on board and built upon on them,” said Brian.
When visiting the showroom Brian was instantly drawn to a high gloss Gala kitchen in Indigo blue and had wanted a shape that was that bit different to go with this unique colour.

Brian added: “The Indigo blue was spectacular and with curved edges and sleek lines I could really see how it would flow and seamlessly link our kitchen and dining spaces, especially with the beautiful island in complementary white Corian Cameo.”
The project was managed by Paul and Joanna from start to finish, from removal of the previous kitchen, levelling and laying tiled flooring throughout the whole scheme with under floor heating, plastering, plumbing, electrics, lighting, and fitting of the kitchen of course.

Brian said: “At every step of the journey Paul and Jo made suggestions and recommendations and because we trusted their judgement and experience, we took on board and incorporated features I never set out to – and now I am thrilled that we have them.

“For example I wasn’t bothered about having a boiling tap but upon Jo’s excellent persuasion it has revolutionised our day to day kitchen use.”

A Quooker boiling hot water tap was installed alongside the latest brushed steel Siemens appliances.

Brian added: “Another element that I couldn’t quite envisage was the ventilation pod – or spaceship as I call it, that was introduced above the Island. As well as the obvious practical features it actually is a beautiful design addition that helps tie the whole space together.

“We are delighted with the end result. The quality of the finish is first rate, Paul and Jo and their team really took pride in the job and it shows.”
