Say ‘I do’ in 22! A number of wedding venues have dates available this year for couples who don’t want to wait to tie the knot
With many weddings having had to be re-scheduled over the past couple of years, it may come as something of a surprise that this has left some dates available this year.
So, for those who want to get married without delay, this could be your chance!
While the UK has seen a surge in wedding bookings, most are for 2023 and 2024 so that couples have plenty of time to plan.
But if you’re happy to simplify things, it is quite easy to organise a wedding in a few months as opposed to a couple of years.
Booking the venue is usually the first thing to consider. Here in the Ribble Valley we have many and varied venues – from bijou boutique locations to grand country houses so whatever style of wedding you are seeking, a date maybe available for you this year.
Once you have set your date and found a venue that can accommodate you, book the registrar or the service.
Once you have these two things ticked off – the rest should be relatively plain sailing. Find a photographer, florist and cake-maker, reserve suits if you’re hiring, start the search for that all important wedding gown and go shopping for wedding rings.
A few months before you tie the knot send out your invitations and you should then soon be able to confirm numbers with your chosen venue. Think about a seating plan and consider who you’re going to delegate wedding day duties to.
Many venues have wedding organisers and co-ordinators that will work with you in the run-up to your big day, which takes any worry away.
We are lucky enough to live in an area that attracts couples from all over the country who want to get married here due to the sheer number of beautiful wedding venues within just a few square miles of the rolling green countryside dotted with pretty villages.
This rural idyll really is a fabulous place, where you and your guests could be experiencing a joy-filled day that will make 2022 a memorable year!
