McDade Roberts Chartered Accountants has had a home in Longridge since 2002 alongside its other offices is Bamber Bridge and Fulwood, Preston. We meet its latest director Christine Richards
Christine Richards, the latest director to be appointed within the growing business has been a member of the team since 2007. Her career has grown alongside the McDade Roberts business and now Christine is looking forward to brighter times ahead for all businesses in the area.
Following a 13-year career with McDade Roberts, Christine became a director and shareholder of the business in April 2020. Christine explains: “I started as an accounts trainee, then progressed through the business to become the manager of the Longridge branch before being appointed a director last April. I love our team at McDade Roberts. We all work very hard, but we also know how to be friendly and approachable which is very important to me.”
Christine has shown dedication to learning throughout her career and became a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) in 2012. She has extensive experience working with a wide range of businesses, including her specialisms of agriculture and construction and is now in the process of taking on more of Philip McDade’s clients.
Philip, one of the original founders of at McDade Roberts welcomes Christine’s input to his client’s businesses. “I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Christine over the years and know that my clients will be in very safe hands as I continue to reduce my hours with a view to retirement. Succession planning is vital and something we have helped many businesses with over the years so now it is my turn. I know Christine is up for whatever challenges the business community face post Covid and I agree that there are bright times ahead for McDade Roberts, as well as the local business community.”
Christine was born and still lives in Hurst Green, where two young children take up most of her free time. Her family background is in farming with her father being a gamekeeper and she has a keen interest in rural pursuits. Out of work, Christine enjoys running, long walks with her family and is a keen reader and member of a book club.
Christine is equally at home in a pair of wellies as she is in a boardroom and her down to earth and approachable style is synonymous with what makes McDade Roberts such a trusted partner for hundreds of Lancashire businesses.
