Introducing Jodie & Julie Waddicor the friendly faces behind Clitheroe Leisure – a facility that brings together an exciting blend of fitness, beauty and wellbeing. Photography: Sarah Valentine
Jodie Waddicor and mum Julie, her business partner, are the duo behind Clitheroe Leisure on Chatburn Road, Clitheroe. Having taken over the business in June last year, the pair set about forming a first class environment for health and wellbeing.
Having relevant experience between them such as personal training, PE teacher and a passion for team sports, both business partners, along with the staff at Clitheroe Leisure, believe they have fitness regimes that are friendly and, above all, fun.
The result is a new uplift to a refurbished gym and surrounding facilities, with a team of enthusiastic class and personal trainers sharing their expertise.
There is a wide-ranging timetable of day and evening classes with membership and pay-as-you-go options, short and long term contracts and student membership options. Each month there are lots of special offers!
With high intensity training getting your blood pumping and muscles working with classes such as Les Mills Bodypump, Bodybalance, Spinning, Stability Ball on the timetable every week, they also offer something calmer and more relaxing like Pilates, Yoga, and Sports Stretching.
Something different – the only mini-trampoline workout in the Ribble Valley – Boogie Bounce. Jump to music with friends in the weekly classes. There is even Sweaty Mama classes, where mums and their little ones, starting from just a couple of weeks old, work out together.
There are also one-to-one personal training sessions, with male and female fitness trainers of all different ages, and after you’ve enjoyed your workout take time to relax in the sauna or steam room – the ultimate de-stresser!
