New Homes with a Difference

Sarah Varley meets with Pringle Homes’ commercial director Sam Fleuriot to discuss its beautiful Pennington Gardens development and find out what makes it so exceptional

Pringle Homes is a company renowned for stunning family homes with an ethos of excellent attention to detail and commitment to working in harmony with the local area. “As a family business, we pride ourselves on providing exemplary service,” says Sam Fleuriot. “We specialise in luxury detached residences designed and built to the very highest standard, with the demands of the modern home-owner in mind.”

Pennington Gardens, in the beautiful semi-rural area of Higher Bartle, features just 13 homes yet incorporates six different house types. The Pringle Homes signature style is arts and crafts with features such as rendered buttress walls and sheltered porches. “We blend the best in traditional styles, latest innovations and eco-friendly efficiency to create outstanding quality homes, displaying the closest attention to detail,” Sam says.

The properties are freehold and offer either four or five bedrooms, with underfloor heating to the ground floor, Duravit sanitaryware in the bathrooms and quartz kitchen work surfaces. “We provide customisation in many ways, from the ~design and finish of kitchens, wardrobes and fireplaces, to a wall being removed between bedrooms. Whereas most developers avoid this, our customers don’t have to compromise on their new home.”

“We take a great deal of care over selecting locations, deliberately keeping our developments small and of the highest quality that blends with the area. At Pennington Gardens, The Turner faces onto Tabley Lane and is a stunning 2,600ft2 bespoke house that really fits the surrounding area of farmhouses and barn conversions, creating a perfect transition between the existing and new.”

“There are superb local facilities and amenities to enjoy nearby, such as The Pantry coffee shop at Maxy Farm and yoga classes at Ashbridge Nursery. There are fantastic schools serving this area such as Broughton High School, Kirkham Grammar, Lancaster Grammar and Woodplumpton Primary, with plans for a brand-new secondary school close by.” Plans are in place for traffic calming on Tabley Lane and a new junction to the M55 will cut journey times to Lytham and the M6 if you’re commuting.

Premium consideration is also given to space and privacy. “We’ve found customers would rather have generous bedrooms with ensuites and dressing rooms than lots of small bedrooms, and appreciate our larger garages and driveways,” Sam states. “The architects have created a wide, spacious feel around Pennington Gardens and whereas in some new developments you might be overlooked by five or six other houses and have many houses to drive past to get to yours, these are exclusive, private homes and gardens.

“We have customers who had almost ruled out buying a new build home because of negative stereotypes such as small proportions, lack of privacy and build specifications, but they are delighted to see this is the opposite of what we are providing,” Sam enthuses. “We’re not just selling a home, we’re selling a lifestyle – Pennington Gardens is a beautiful place to come home to.”
