NEW SUMMER MENU

Take a bite out of summer as Worsley-based dining room and bar, George’s, launch a new mouthwatering menu taking inspiration from the season

With a new season comes a new menu and head chef Gabe Lea is striving for excellence with what he believes, fully embraces the summer season in true George’s style.

Co-owned by Ryan Giggs, Kelvin Gregory and Bernie Taylor, George’s dining room and bar, located in the heart of Worsley, is taking full advantage of the summer months by ensuring only top quality fresh seasonal produce is used throughout.

Start with a fruity twist on Italian classic, brill carpaccio, served with citrus fruits, peach and hazelnuts, freshly poached lobster with leek puree and baby leeks, and sticky Iberico pork shoulder with sesame seeds, apple and potato fondant.

Take a bite out of summer with melt-in-your-mouth charred and poached halibut with shaved fennel, apple, seafood veloute and new potatoes, deep sea dive with a dish of wild seabass with brown shrimp muffin, crispy oyster and sauce gribiche, and indulge in a drool-worthy honey roast duck breast, confit duck pressing, kale and black cherry puree.

Keeping the restaurant’s regulars happy, Gabe is passionate about George’s charcoal grill offering, meaning the restaurant’s classics can also still be found.

Sink your teeth into the finest Lancashire beef and lamb, served with chunky homemade chips, onion rings and watercress. Choose from an 8oz fillet, 10oz ribeye or even the mammoth 16oz tomahawk sharer and drizzle in your choice of sauces.

The dessert menu has also had an injection of summer fun with a refreshingly elegant champagne and strawberry tartlet with chunky strawberry ice cream, a light, airy and rich raspberry mille feuille with raspberry sorbet and a sharp and zesty set Amalfi lemon curd with Italian meringue and blueberry.

Perfectly encapsulating summer months, George’s new menu promises to refresh and realign your tastebuds.

Best enjoyed in the sunshine, diners can revel in George’s latest offering outside on the terrace. No matter what the weather, the menu alone is enough to transport you to a warmer climate as you enjoy a contemporary setting, which provides the perfect balance of casual and fine-dining.

Sharing his excitement at announcing the new summer menu, Gabe says: “It’s been such a pleasure to create a new seasonal menu for George’s. With the help of my team, we’ve combined amazing, quality summer produce with a worldwide influence, while ensuring the essence of the restaurant’s heritage is highlighted throughout.”
