Bill and Ted Face the Music
Release Date: 10th November
Director: Dean Parisot
Starring: Keanu Reeves, Alex Winter, Kristen Schaal and Samara Weaving

Continuing on from the 1989 original, Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Bill and Ted are back. This time, the mysterious ruler of the future commands the two wannabe rock star legends to come up with a new hit song in order to save the current universe as we know it. If they fail, all hell breaks loose. However, with a serious case of writer’s block, the pair struggle to compose the one-hit-wonder that’s needed. Rather than working even harder, the pair decide to travel through time to steal the song – from their future selves. Meanwhile, their two daughters realise their fathers’ ill-conceived plans and devise their own musical scheme instead.

Dolly Parton’s Christmas on the Square
Release Date: 22nd November
Director: Debbie Allen
Starring: Dolly Parton, Christine Baranski, Jenifer Lewis and Treat Williams
Certificate: PG

Dolly Parton is the self-titled angel in this new festive musical, sitting somewhere between It’s a Wonderful Life and A Christmas Carol. Netflix’s seasonal offering provides a tinsel-wrapped bundle of song and holiday spirit. The story follows the cold-hearted Regina Fuller (Baranski) who attempts to sell the land of her local town to a mall developer, evicting the entire area and all its residents right in the middle of the Christmas period. Just in the nick of time, Parton arrives as an angel, to change Fuller’s Scrooge-like mindset and restore congeniality back in time for Christmas.
