Directed by George Clooney, this dark comedy-drama provides an ironic twist on the sublime banality of the idealised 1950’s American suburbia. After the shock murder of his wife, the aptly named and previously mild-mannered Gardener Lodge, must carefully navigate his way amongst this community of deceit and duplicity to protect his son against the dark underworld of their treacherous society and the enemies within.
