The benefits Pilates has on your body are endless – that’s a good enough reason to make it your New Year’s resolution, writes Olivia Beaty. Photography:

Joanne Cornish Pilates are once again set to open their doors and invite you to join them at their open day on Saturday 13th January. The specialist Pilates team will be on hand to offer a warm welcome to the studio, perform demonstrations of all the equipment and start you on your Pilates journey towards a stronger and more balanced body.

The Foot and Insole Specialist Graham Holgate will be in attendance to answer any questions you may have, and Louise Faulkner will be presenting a range of sport and leisurewear from Captain Tortue.

Since starting the business in 2012, Joanne Cornish and her friendly, expert team have provided the Ribble Valley with top class Pilates training. The dedicated studio has gone from strength to strength and is now one of the most well equipped facilities of its kind in the area.

The Longridge based studio offers a range of classes for all ages and abilities, from group reformer and matwork classes, to the more individual semi-private and private sessions. Pilates is also ideal to assist in rehabilitation following injury or surgery and is used by elite athletes around the world.

Joanne Cornish Pilates also offers the Bowen Technique, which is a very distinctive treatment using a gentle rolling-type movement of the thumbs and forefingers, designed to stimulate soft tissue and neural pathways.

Does it sound like Joanne Cornish Pilates could help you? Come along to the open day on Saturday 13th January or call 01772 784850 and take the first step to transforming your body
