A Ribble Valley country house leads the pack when it comes to dining venues

If you’ve researched exquisite restaurants with outstanding views in Lancashire you’ll no doubt have come across one of the very best – Ferrari’s Country House Hotel and Restaurant in Thornley, just outside the charming town of Longridge.

Formerly known as Blackmoss House and built by the Earl of Derby in around 1830, the mansion house is set in 4.5 acres of mature walled gardens. In 1995, the Ferrari family – who had already made their name as restaurateurs – extensively refurbished the property to create Ferrari’s, one of the most acclaimed restaurants in the north west.

It probably won’t come as a surprise that the restaurant offers food with Italian flair, but its varied menu also blends the best of English and French cuisine to offer a truly wholesome experience for all.

Ferrari’s stunning views are equally as compelling, with beautifully laid out gardens and rolling fells providing the backdrop. And you’ll be pleased to know that the service is superb too!

For overnight visitors at Ferrari’s, you’ll find an eclectic selection of rooms, from comfortable standard rooms to the very special deluxe bedrooms – the majority of which have been recently refurbished to a very high standard.

Ferrari’s restaurant is open every evening and lunchtime, with the exception of Monday lunchtime. To book your table or to make a room reservation, please call 01772 783148.
